Welcome to "LA Night" RPG forum. Thank you for considering us for your role-playing needs. Below is a list of rules that everybody agrees to upon joining the forum so please read them carefully. They are as followed:
1.) Respect!
I don't expect everyone to get along, but I do expect members to respect the forum and keep personal disputes off the board. If for some reason you can't settle a matter with another member then please contact a member of staff and we'll do our best to settle the situation.
2.) No Spamming!
Spamming is where you post one liners, one word responses, or spam your site link all over the board. While we're a no word count site please still give your partner something to work with. The exception to one word responses is in the Forum Games section where post count is disabled. You may also advertise your site in your sig space.
3.) No Hotlinking!
Hotlinking is when you take a base image from another site and use that site's URL. Don't do it! Please use a free uploading service like Imgur, Image Shack, or Photobucket. You can also upload images directly from your pictures to your avatar so you don't need to use a URL for that.
4.) No Godmodding!
Godmodding is where you have an all powerful character without weaknesses or flaws. This is simply not how role-playing works. Please give your characters weaknesses and flaws to help balance them out.
5.) No Powerplaying!
Powerplaying is when you launch an attack, say that it hit, and then say how much damage it did. Don't do it! Please give your partner a chance to dodge/counter/block the attack. Alternatively, don't dodge everything as that can be seen as another form of godmodding.
6.) No Meta-Gaming!
Meta-gaming is where you take out of character information (OOC) and use it in an in character situation (IC) don't do it! All information your character knows must be explain through IC means.
7.) No Killing!
Please do not kill another member's character without their expressed consent. If you do decide to kill off a character and want them back you can always bring them back at a later time.
That is all for the Rules and Guidelines. These rules are subject to change without warning so please check back regularly. I hope everybody can appreciate how simple and easy these rules are and that hopefully I won't have to add to this list.
